Speaking

Real stories, real numbers, no theory.

I speak to rooms of owners, producers, leaders and men, and I bring the same thing to every one of them: what actually happened, what it cost, and what to build next. Keynotes of 45 to 60 minutes, workshops of 90 minutes to a half day.

One proof point

Annual keynote, NABIP Arizona, 2024. More than a hundred people lined up afterward for a signed copy of Wounds.

Ryan's perspective on business significantly improved my outlook and activity, and that of my employees. His willingness to be vulnerable with his life story has inspired us all to strive for higher quality in ourselves and the work we do for clients.

The talks

Four talks. Pick the room.

Keynote

From Conflict to Conquest

Becoming who you were built to be in a world that rewards the real.

I survived Route 91 in 2017 and rebuilt my life on what was true. This is the talk about that, and about why being human, knowing who you are and selling from conviction is the one edge no competitor can copy. Every person leaves with one change to make Monday morning.

Who it is for
Annual conferences and general sessions. Association chapters, owner groups, sales organizations, men's events.
Format
45 to 60 minutes plus Q&A. No pitch from the stage.
Keynote or working session

Stop Winging It

How producers build a prospecting system that fills the calendar without burning out.

Your pipeline problem was never talent or effort. It is that nobody handed you a written system you can repeat. I hand you one: Target Lock, the 1440, the Value Cadence System and the Force Multiplier, the same four pieces I install inside agencies.

Who it is for
Insurance producers, benefits advisors, agency sales teams, contractors and trades owners.
Format
45 to 60 minutes as a keynote, or a half-day workshop where the room builds part of its own system, up to 25 people.
Keynote

Build It on Something That Lasts

The foundation every high-performing professional needs.

Great month, dead month. That cycle is not bad luck. It is a foundation problem. I walk the room from Solo to System to Scale, and each person leaves knowing which stage they are in and what to build next.

Who it is for
Mixed rooms of owners, producers and leaders.
Format
45 to 60 minutes plus Q&A. Also runs as a 90 to 120 minute workshop with a diagnostic and a first draft of one part of the sales foundation.
Workshop

Close the GAP

A leadership alignment workshop for high-performing professionals.

Built on the Grounded Alignment Framework from Wounds. Ninety minutes on the gap between the life you have and the one you were made for, and one concrete realignment adjustment each person commits to before they leave.

Who it is for
Leadership teams, men's gatherings, faith-based and purpose-driven rooms.
Format
90 minutes. Faith language for faith rooms, purpose-driven language everywhere else.
How it works

What a planner needs to know.

  • Who books me. Association chapters, agency and owner groups, sales organizations, contractor and trades companies, and men's events.
  • What the room gets. One thing to do Monday morning. I do not do motivation without a mechanism.
  • Faith. It is underneath the work. In a corporate room the language is purpose-driven. In a faith room it is faith. You tell me which room it is.
  • No pitch from the stage. Zero pitch, maximum value. If people want more, they find me afterward.
  • Books. Signed copies of Wounds are available for your attendees.
  • Based in Orange County, California. I travel, and every talk also runs virtual.

Questions planners ask first

What does Ryan speak about?

Four talks. From Conflict to Conquest, on becoming who you were built to be after the worst thing that ever happened to you. Stop Winging It, on building a prospecting system you can run without burning out. Build It on Something That Lasts, on the foundation under a business that stops swinging from great month to dead month. And Close the GAP, a leadership alignment workshop built on the framework in Wounds.

Who does Ryan speak to?

Insurance and benefits association chapters, agency and owner groups, sales teams, contractor and trades companies, and men's events. He has keynoted a NABIP state annual conference and works with agencies and producers every week, so the stories are current.

How long is a keynote?

45 to 60 minutes plus Q&A. Workshops run 90 minutes to a half day, capped at about 25 people so everyone leaves with something built.

Does Ryan sell from the stage?

No. Zero pitch, maximum value. The talk has to earn the right to a conversation afterward.

Does Ryan speak at secular events?

Yes. Faith is underneath the work, not on top of it. In a corporate or association room the language is purpose-driven. In a faith room it is faith.

How do I book him?

Use the form on the Work With Me page, pick Speaking, and send the date, the city, the room and what you want people to walk out with. You will hear back within two business days.
